St. Joseph Health MRI Technologist in Santa Rosa, California

We are looking for a MRI Technologist - NUHW (National UnionHealth Workers) for MRI unit at St Joseph Health.

Location: Santa Rosa Memorial Outpatient - Santa Rosa, CA

Schedule: Full Time- 80 hours biweekly

Shift: Evening

Summary:

Under the direction of the Radiologist and Lead Technologist, and with latitude for independent judgment, performs all the professional duties involved in utilizing radio frequency within a magnetic field for diagnosis at the technical level. Acts in compliance with Federal, State, and JCAHO standards. Produces and evaluates images and related data to be used by physicians to render medical diagnosis. Performs related clerical tasks and assumes responsibility for coordinating exams performed.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs procedures on all age groups in accordancewith department protocol including the introduction of IVs foradministration of contrast material.

  • Maintains awareness of equipment status, troubleshootsmalfunctions and contacts proper service for repair when indicated.

  • Assures that proper patient screening and historydocumentation relevant to the procedure being performed is in place beforeinitiating the exam.

  • Maintains appropriate inventory of supplies necessaryfor efficient department operation.

  • Performs radiographic procedures as MRI schedule allowsPerforms other duties as assigned by the Manager of ImagingServices.

  • Maintains professional development and education.

Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.

Experience: Prefer one-year experience in a progressive institution involved directly with MRI procedures and diagnostic radiographic procedures.

License/Certification:

Current California license for Radiologic Technology (CRT-R).

Current Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiology (ARRT(R)).

Current BLS certification. IV Therapy Certification.
