Job Summary

The Research Integrity & Compliance Office assures regulatory compliance with University, Federal and State agency requirements. The Web Software Developer will provide a primary role in the development and support of web based applications to support this mission. The primary application, the Electronic Research Integrity & Compliance (ERICA) System, is developed from the Huron Click Research Suite for use in Conflict of Interest and the Institutional Review Board (IRB).


Designs, develops, and implements software packages for websites. Troubleshoots, debugs and implements software code. Has knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field (i.e.,SQL, C#,HTML,CSS, and JavaScript).

• Works with a small team, composed of individuals of varying backgrounds (QA, BA, designers, developers), as part of a larger team to develop a large web application.

• Work on projects from analysis through development, testing, QA, and delivery.

• Provides technical input on product or application related issues and questions.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Ability to accurately estimate effort to complete projects & meet deadlines.

• Experience withSQLand working withXMLand Web Services (SOAP).

• Proficient with C#,HTML,CSS, and JavaScript, and a good knowledge of jQuery and Ajax.

• Ability to createSQLreports.

Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude required.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related area or equivalency (2 years related work experience may be substituted for 1 year of education). 2 years of experience in web software development or related area.
