We are looking for a Nurse Navigator - CNA (California Nurses Association) for Cancer Supportive Care at Queen of the Valley!

Location: Queen of the Valley Medical Center - Napa, CA
Schedule: Full-time - 80 hours biweekly
Shift: 8-hour Days
The Cancer Center Nurse Navigator (CCNN) is a registered nurse who helps guide cancer patients and their families through the treatment process at QVMC. Under the direction of the Cancer Supportive Care Manager, the CCNN works collaboratively with physicians and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure coordination of services across all delivery sites. The CCNN serves as a resource to all disciplines relative to the care and coordination of the oncology patient population from detection through survivorship. The CCNN’s focus is outpatient as well as the inpatient population and staff. Duties performed under minimum supervision.

Demonstrated skills and expertise in the areas of cancer disease, treatment and psychosocial impact

Demonstrates the ability to evaluate a situation from many perspectives, consider various alternatives and act in a manner consistent with Medical Center and departmental policies
Able to motivate self and employees toward teamwork, flexibility and common purpose
Organizational skills, work flow analysis and the ability to set priorities
Good computer skills
Experience: Minimum five (5) years experience as an RN
License / Certification:
Current California Registered Nurse license
Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification
PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
BSN or fifteen (15) years RN experience in related field or subspecialty
Current ACLS certification
Certified Oncology Nurse
Member of Oncology Nursing Society
Member National Coalition of Oncology Nurse Navigators
